The Mission of the Symposium

To initiate cooperation with Iraqi universities and other higher educational establishments and research institutions to enable them to regain internationally recognised standards.

The Aim of the Conference is to bring together representatives from Iraqi higher education and research establishments and their counterparts from the U.K. and other interested countries as well as from international, regional and national organizations, to:

i. explore the state of Iraqi higher education and research institutions

ii. examine the available means and potentials for their rehabilitation and development, and

iii. promote their role in building new, free and democratic Iraq.
