Conference Themes

      The conference will be organised in plenary sessions and
workshops covering inter  alia:

1. Modalities for the organisation of a socio – economically responsive higher education sector

The adoption of administrative systems using modern technology with contemporary effective administrative structure avoiding the bureaucracy and red tape; how to take decisions and resolve outstanding problems; description of staff responsibilities and their optimal distribution (the right person in the right place).

2. Capacity building and personnel development for academic and higher administration staff

Capacity building for administrative, technical and academic staff to enhance their managerial and technological developments

3. Curriculum development and modern teaching methods:

Design of contemporary curriculum and linking it to teaching methods using modern technology of delivery

4. Quality Assurance, Assessment and Evaluation of the members of academic staff activities:

Evaluating scientific departments including academic staff and students, their research and various educational activities and the extent of their use of modern technology in the education system

5. Graduate studies programs and scientific research.

6. University and community (role, the labour market).

7. Higher Education modes (private, open learning, distance education).

8. Decentralisation of Higher Education in Iraq.
