MAJI Masters in Journalism for
International Students
The Course Leader is Prinicpal Lecturer Deborah Vogel.
She is an experienced radio broadcaster, working mostly for BBC
World Service and also leads the Broadcast Journalism and
Documentary Skills (Radio) modules, as well as teaching radio
journalism on other post-graduate courses.
Working with Deborah, whilst also running the television
strand in the first semester is Richard Wright, an experienced
television journalist.
Whilst Principal Lecturer, Jim McClellan contributes to the MAJI
programme in web specialisms, as well as leading the BA Journalism
Course.
For Online in the first and second semester,and Video Journalism
in the second semester on the Broadcast Journalism pathway, you
will also be taught by David Dunkley Gyimah.
Those who opt for the Print Pathway on the practical side of the
Course will first meet former BBC journalist David
Gilbert who teaches both News and Feature writing and
Production Journalism.
Professor Colin Sparks, an expert on media and democracy
lectures in globalisation and the media.
