This wilfully interdisciplinary group explores shared
concerns, as well as ways in which the methods of one tradition
(such as art and design) can be used to develop the practice of
another (such as social science) – and vice versa.
We have been awarded research grants from the Arts and
Humanities Research Council (AHRC), including £188,365 for the
study Young people’s creative understanding of their
mediaworlds, which runs from September 2008 to August
2010, and £74,243 for the research project Audience and
producer engagement with immersive worlds, a collaboration
with the BBC which runs from July 2007 to June
2008.
We also hold seminars, symposia and workshops.
