What will you study?
You will study a wide range of the
methods and applications of clinical photography. This
includes the study of photoscience, photography and digital
imaging, anatomy and physiology, biology and clinical practice.
Study in the photoscience and the
imaging modules involves the human visual system, light, the
chemistry and physics of the photographic process, image capturing
sensors, fundamental practical techniques, the image management
techniques at all stages of the imaging chain.

In human physiology and anatomy
modules, you will be given an overview of a range of physiology
systems in health and disease and familiarised with anatomical
language used by medical facilities (Year 1). The study will
continue in Year 2 to provide students with a
thorough grounding in the physiology of a range of body
systems.
The course involves
a substantial element of work-based learning in
a clinical setting and this is achieved through a
significant number of hours of work placement in a variety of
relevant specialisms throughout the three years of the course.
