Imaging
Imaging @ MAD
Beginning as a diploma in Photographic Technology at the Regent
Street campus during the sixties, this soon became the first degree
course in photography in the country. The course diversified later
on, becoming two courses, the BSc Photographic Technology and
the BA in Photography, both of which have continued to develop and
are still running today (see below).
Image science encompasses study in a range of areas including
the assessment of images and imaging systems, optics, colour
science, image metrology and visual science. As the field
has developed the courses have expanded to encompass principles of
digital imaging and applied imaging.
