(CREAM)
The Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media (CREAM)
is one of the UK’s leading centres for research in visual and media
arts, design and music.
The Centre boasts an excellent research track
record and an energetic and expanding team. In RAE 2008, 100% its
research was rated as of international standing, with 75% of this
as "world leading" or of "international excellence", placing CREAM
as the top art and design department in London, and in the top six
in the UK, according to Times Higher Education and
Guardian league tables."
Its members include internationally renowned
artists, filmmakers, photographers, ceramicists, theorists,
critics, historians, designers and musicians. CREAM focuses on
critical and cross-disciplinary approaches. Whilst its individual
members cover a wide range of subject areas and expertise,
cross-connections between areas are encouraged.
