Interviews

PREPARATION is the key to a successful interview.

Interviews provide a unique chance for us to show off our strengths, but you need to spend some time thinking about what questions would be relevant and come prepared with plenty of strong examples up your sleeve. In this way we are able to take full control of the process.

Visit the section on researching employers to find out more about them.

Interviews

You'll need lots of evidence to demonstrate the following key questions perched in every employer's mind:

Can you do the job?

You have the qualifications required (the employer can see that from your application form) but do you really  have the skills and competencies to transfer what you have learnt to the day to day requirements of the job?

Will you do the job?

Do you have the motivation and enthusiasm to add value to the organisation? Will you work efficiently and with drive?

And Crucially: Will you fit in?

The crunch point: you look good on paper but what about in real life? Interviewers will probably judge in the first 30 seconds what you are like as a person. Are you warm, confident, friendly? What do you value? Are you kind of person who will fit in with the rest of the team without a major personality clash?
