Admissions information for international students

Undergraduate entry qualifications

1^st year entry

All students applying for a Bachelors/undergraduate degree at Westminster will be required to meet the English Language Requirements. In addition to the English requirements, students must hold one of the following qualifications:

Holders of the National Senior High School Certificate, Chinese University Entrance Examination or Matriculation Examination who have also successfully completed a suitable foundation programme in a relevant subject area.
Successful completion of one year at a recognised university in China with an overall average of 75% or above.
Successful completion of a suitable one year UK Foundation course, normally with 60% or above overall result (including UK syllabus foundation courses taught in China).

2^nd& 3^rd year entry

Students with one of the following qualifications may be eligible for the 2^nd or 3^rd year entry. However, students should seek advice from the International Education Office for further details.

Holders of a Diploma from Specialised College may be eligible for 2nd year entry in a suitable subject area.
Students with a University College Graduation Diploma or a Graduation Diploma from Radio & TV Universities / Spare-time Universities / Training Colleges for Administrative cadres / Higher Education Self-Study Examinations or Adult Education may be considered for entry into the 2nd year of an undergraduate degree.
Students with a three year Diploma (Da Zhuan) may be considered for direct entry to the 2nd or 3rd year.

Postgraduate entry qualifications

All students applying for a Masters/postgraduate degree at Westminster will be required to meet the English Language Requirements and have one of the following qualifications:

Holders of a Bachelor degrees from a National University with a GPA 3.0 (out of 4.0) or an overall average grade of 75% or above.
We request an overall 85% or above for students from private colleges.
Applicants with lower academic qualifications but with 5-7 years relevant work experience may also be considered on for postgraduate studies in certain subjects.

Westminster visits China

The University of Westminster offers approximately £2.7m in funding for international scholarships, including many full scholarships, part scholarships and fee discounts for overseas students.
