Gay, Lesbian, and
Bisexual (GLB) students and graduates might be
described as an 'invisible minority'. Sexuality does not come
with a label and the decision whether or not to raise and tackle
issues relating to sexual orientation remains a matter of
individual choice.
Generally speaking, within the,
sometimes, more enlightened confines of university life such issues
are unlikely to create much fuss anyway.
Once you have graduated, however,
and you begin your career search in earnest, you may be
confronted with a number of issues pertaining to your
sexuality within the workplace. These pages
have been designed to help you improve your career planning,
market yourself more effectively, tackle issues around disclosing
your sexual orientation, identify supportive employers and handle
possible discrimination.
