The scheme is a programme for undergraduate home students of Black British, African, Caribbean and Asian descent. It links students with professional managers or executives to enhance their employability through confidence building, networking and development of the key skills all employers seek. The programme is a chance for students to learn about the opportunities available in specific career areas. A certificate is awarded to all participants on completion.

Lorin, a 3rd year Law (LLB) student who was mentored by Matt Pollard of HM Treasury, receiving her award for Mentee of the Year 2011 from the Vice Chancellor, Professor Geoffrey Petts.
Mentor, Loraine Martins of the Olympic Delivery Authority, has contributed to a blog about her experience of the scheme in 2009. Loraine went on to mentor Westminster students in 2010 and 2011. View Loraine's blog entry about her mentoring experience
