Use positive language in application forms, CVs and at interviews

 

Identify the skills you have gained and match these to employers' needs

Identify work experience opportunities to gain relevant, up-to-date experience

Target disability friendly companies. Look for the "two ticks" symbol

Acknowledge that discrimination exists but remember the Disability Discrimination Act is there to help you

Anticipate employers' possible concerns about recruiting graduates with disabilities and be ready to address them

Make employers aware that there is financial support available
