“I am particularly looking forward to working in partnership with staff, students and other stakeholders to grow the University’s contributions to the emerging economic, social and environmental demands of urban life in London – and other cities across the globe.”

- Professor Petts on taking up the post of Vice-Chancellor and Rector of the University of Westminster.

Change at Westminster

The Vice-Chancellor has launched a programme of change under the banner "Westminster 2015" which will see Westminster cemented in its place as a diverse, vibrant and inspirational learning environment with high quality research and practice-informed teaching.

Under the Vice-Chancellor's leadership, internationalisation, employability and green-thinking will be embedded in all we do. We strive to build a cutting-edge, innovative and creative research culture which is known for making a difference.

The change programme will also see an internal restructure, reducing the number of academic Schools from ten to seven through mergers. Governance and management structures are also being streamlined. Staff can find more information using the links at the bottom of the page.
