The University will observe its obligations in respect of paid
and unpaid time off for public duties in accordance with the ACAS
Code of Practice. The categories are:
Civic duties, e.g. as a magistrate, member of a board of
governors of a public body
Trade Union duties
Jury Service
Territorial Army
Staff who are asked to undertake such duties should contact HR
for advice on their entitlements and any special arrangements that
may apply, for example, in relation to claims for loss of
earnings.
