Career Development Centre can
help you whether you are looking for your first graduate job, a
work placement, part-time/casual work or going on to further study.
It's never too early to make a start and Westminster students can
use our services free of charge for up to 3 years after
graduating.

- You can access the Career Development
Centre Vacancy System. Here you will find vacancies for
Part-time/Vacation jobs, Student Placements and Finalist
Vacancies as well as booking a place on forthcoming
events and activities.
- You can book a 45 minute Careers Guidance
Interview with a Careers Consultant to discuss any career
related topics or have a mock interview.
- You can attend our Quick Query Sessions and speak to a Careers
Consultant for 20 minutes. You can either book your session
via the Vacancy
system or contact us on the day you wish to have a
session.
- You can visit one of our Careers Information Rooms
for information and take away material on types of
work, employers, further study plus employer vacancies.
Computer access is also available.
- If you are a current undergraduate home student of Black
British, African, Caribbean and Asian descent you can participate
in the National Mentoring
Scheme, supported by Career Development Centre, which will
link you with a professional manager to gain support and experience
over a 6 month period.
- Online Psychometric testing with emailed feedback is available
through our licence with My Potential.
- You can access careers matching software to find out what
jobs might suit you through MyPotential (type dynamics
indicator test), Prospects
Planner
In addition to the services offered
by Career Development Centre, the Prospects
website offers a comprehensive service for students and
graduates. This includes wide ranging careers
information, a moderated chatroom where you can talk to
graduate employers and postgraduate study experts and email
advice. You can also view the Prospects Graduate,
the online magazine that contains graduate job vacancies,
postgraduate courses and career news and advice from
Prospects.
