Counselling

Counselling offers the opportunity to discuss feelings and thoughts on matters of concern with a trained professional, individually or in groups.

We have a team of professionally trained and widely experienced counsellors who are accustomed to working with people from many different backgrounds and cultures.

Students come for counselling for a variety of reasons: an inability to study; poor concentration; learning or writing blocks; panic attacks; isolation; suicidal feelings; bereavement; relationship and family problems; or depression
and anxiety.

The counsellors are happy to talk to you about anything that is bothering you, whether it is related to your academic or personal life. While we recognise that it may be difficult to ask for help, we positively encourage you to contact us. We see students individually and in groups and run workshops and events throughout the year.

Counsellors run workshops  throughout the year including sessions for mature students returning to education, for students going abroad, managing exam anxiety and on cultural issues.
