Undergraduate entry qualifications:

 

Students from the US applying for a Bachelors (BA, BSc and BEng and LLB) degree at Westminster will be required to have one of the following qualifications:
 
  • Satisfactorily completion of a one year UK Foundation course (normally with a minimum of 60% and above)
  • The High School Diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.2 
         And either :
  • SAT I  - A minimum balanced score of 1100 (prior 2005 changes) or 1800 (after 2005)
OR
  • ACT composite score of 26
  • Advanced Placement Examination - Grades 3+ in at least two, and preferably three, Advanced Placement tests*
* A combination of subject related AP and SAT II may also be eligible for entry into our Undergraduate degrees.
Note: AP or SAT II scores will be a pre-requisite for entry into certain subjects.
  • Satisfactorily completion of one year of a college/university program with minimum GPA of 2.8 (the GPA requirements would largely vary depending on the degree chosen and the prestige of the institution that the qualifications have been obtained from)
  • Holders of the International Baccalaureate Diploma - Computing courses: 26
          All other courses: 28-32
  • 2 year Associate degree satisfies the general entrance requirements is usually eligible for advanced standing onto the second year
  • Professional Diploma from a technical school (2 years post-secondary in a specialized field of study)
