Work Placements/Internships/Work Experience

Work placements are a very useful way of gaining relevant, professional experience and knowledge of a particular industry sector, as well as potential references. Graduate recruiters often use such schemes as a means of assessing potential candidates for employment after graduation.

Most large organisations and some smaller ones run placement schemes for students. These can vary in length from
2-3 weeks, a vacation period or up to a year.

We advertise a variety of student placement opportunities on our online vacancy lists.

The Prospects run National Council for Work Experience website is also an excellent place to research short and long term work placements.  This site also provides a number of useful links including the Step programme, overseas placements and volunteering in the UK / abroad.
