Dr. Ñíguez is a Senior Lecturer in Economics. He completed his
Ph.D. in Economics in 2004 at the University of Alicante, Spain. He
was a visiting scholar at the University of Copenhagen as part of
his doctorate training and did postdoctoral studies at the London
School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He taught
microeconomics and econometrics at Alicante University until 2003,
then econometrics and statistics at the LSE until 2005. His
research interests are in the areas of econometric theory,
financial econometrics and volatility long-memory time
series.
